Splint off today!!!

Benjamin 10 years old took his splint off today after 8 weeks since the mod quad. He couldn't wait a day longer, we see the PT for the first time tomorrow- what a headache playing with insurance and therapy- anyway, I'm concerned that he is holding his arm in a funny way. What can anyone tell me-I'm getting nervous that there won't be improvement---does that come after therapy????
What should we see or expect?
