Big Day Today....Outdoor Channel....

Today is our families big day. Today on the Outdoor Channel at 4:00 PM little Michael will be on TV. His "Wish" trip was in Columbus Georgia funded by the Marty Lions Foundation. Michael's wish was to meet the Realtree team- Bill Jordan, David Blanton and Michael Waddell. They did one better. They have over 10 hours of video taken of the trip, interviews of myself and his daddy. I hope those who can watch it will. The show is today at 4:00 PM, Friday at 8:00 AM and Sunday at 10:00PM. We are extremely excited. We saw previews of the show Sunday night and of coarse I couldn't go to sleep after seeing little Michael and myself and hearing my voice. Too cool! Michael Waddell said everyone at the office cried when they saw the finished product. It wasn't because of the cancer, but because little Michael stole the show and everyones heart was touched by him.

are you in Columbus, GA. We live in OKC;however, we used to live there. I told my husband about the show and the guys on the show and he used to deliver to them. Small World. That is wonderful to hear that they made it special for him. Thinking of you and your family.

No Teresa. We live in Central New Jersey. They are great group of people there. We were so sad to leave. It felt like we left family behind. They still keep in touch with little Michael and they want him back this fall. Do you get the Outdoor Channel? If you do, I hope you enjoy the show.

Patty - Somehow we missed it! We found the Outdoor channel and had it set for 4:00 and we didn't see Michael so I thought maybe it was on at 5:00 - watched again - it wasn't the right show... I'm thinking we were supposed to watch at 3:00 TX time?? We looked ahead to Friday and there is an Outdoor channel "on the road" with bow hunting on at 7:00 a.m. and I'm guessing that might be it.
Anyway - both of my girls are now traumatized (LOL) they couldn't believe all of the animal death they saw - shooting deer and stuff (they kept screaming RUN and covering their eyes!) We aren't hunters.... My girls love to watch Animal Rescue on Animal Planet - so a hunting show was a complete shocker for them....

I just wanted you to know that we are sorry we missed the first show but hopefully by Friday we'll be ready at the right time.

Sorry to hear you missed it. The show is called Realtree Roadtrips with Michael Waddell. We saw it and I cried twice. They did a fantastic job showing little Michael's wish. Sorry to hear your little ones were tramatized. I guess I should have put a PG rating on it.(LOL) Sorry. I just assumed that if you have the outdoor channel you know it is hunting, fishing and all types of outdoor activities. If you go online to www.theoutdoorchannel.com you can find the TV listings with the show. It's about a turkey hunt. The next show will be Friday at 8 in the morning and then Sunday at 10 at night. After the show we called them up and told them what wonderful people they all are and how much we loved the show. We spoke to Michael Waddell and John Tate the camera man. Both are great people. I hope you can watch it Christy this Friday coming up. Good luck.

Please no apologies - it really was funny!:) I was familiar with the Outdoor channel myself but I guess I didn't realize how sheltered my kids are!

I am on Eastern time, but we do not observe daylight savings time, so we are actually an hour behind Eastern time.

Just wanted to tell you how much the girls and I enjoyed seeing all of you tonight on the Outdoor channel. Little Michael, with his big eyes and cuteness - completely stole the show. That turkey was bigger than he was! He was so excited and we were so happy for him. You and your husband also seemed so at ease in front of the cameras! The show was great and really touched us all.
