Has anyone been told that their child has an anterior subluxation rather than a posterior one? If so, have you been given any options of what can be done?

Julie,
Alexyss is anterior subluxated. I see from my own personnal perspective that she became dislocated really quickly. She has had dislocation surgery and so far so good. It has been almost 2 years since the surgery. She still has a slope though. I got told that posterior is worse than anterior. You might want to see about a brace and take extra caution on how you handle your child. Everything should be fine. It is just a matter of time and waiting.

Good luck to you!

Tracey,

When you said that Alexyss had the dislocation surgery what type of surgery are you referring to? Do you have some type of brace for her to wear now? Have you ever had a x-ray or scan done to see if her humerus is in socket now? Sorry for so many questions!
