I need to know if anyone has had the problems I am having with our insurance company. They have not paid anything on Carson (or my OB/GYN) except for a few peditrician visits. He was 6mths on the 19th of Feb. We have medical bills of almost $60,000 already. The insurance company pre-certed, therapy and primary at TCH. They have now denied it because they can not get complete medical records from the hospital. Did this happen to anyone else, did your insurance company do an investigation because it was a birth injury? They said that when they get the records the charges will be considered.

order the medical records yourself and send them REGISTERED MAIL to your insurance company

I am dealing with this problem in a Discrimiation case 50 years later,I could not beleve Children Mamorial Hospitle had record on file and I got them.I maybe the first person with Erbs to file a case of discrimation! The truth is you have to prove erbs by record.Every one needs to get keep records on the erbs.One thing is sure if I coulnt prove by medical record I would have a lot of problems in my case,Good news if I win I will post it here if I can and No child that works after me will have to prove erbs is a handicap after me.Records,cases and somthing to worry about are real,I know that when the investigater saw me I said seeing my erbs isnt enough she said no ,you need to prove history of Erbs!You know I felt as bad as you do now.Tom
