I have a question on the operation $50,000.00 for the first operation? How many were you told you would need and do you have insurance? I don't understand the high cost of the surgery.
I read on the general Board that parents are not paying that cost for bpi repair. Maybe you should check with other bpi doctors to see if they accept insurance and/or Medicaid

If you are not working and have no insurance perhaps you can apply for medicade/disability... Then you would be able to file for Social Security Disability and also seek help for education payments.

I saw doctor grossman in miami, he said that would be one of a possible four surgeries.I do not have insurance and funny enough when I told grossman that Ill see him after i get Medicare and Medicaid he told me they didn't accept it... My education payments I have a plan for I hope to get a job with a hospital (which is being a pain) and sign the tuition reinbursment contract, so I will work for two years and they will pay for my school.
I also believe my cost is probably for all the damage done and the nature of the injury.

Thank you for reaching Kathleen It is appreciated
