Head safety

My daughter is nearly 15 months old and is falling a lot. I have asked her PT about a helmet or some sort of protective head thingy especially for when she is outside, walking on the pavement!

Can you please tell me where I would look to find what there is available. I don't really want her to have to wear a big helmet. Avery's PT is faxing some pages from a catalogue to me but I just checked out their web site and don't really see anything for less that $150 or that is small enough.

Thanks. I love having this resource/support!

If you post this question on the General Board you will get a better response.

Most of the adult/obpi on this board are older and did not wear head protection.

As far as I am concride what has your chid fallen into that conserns you.If its a point of seening a doctor to get a helment that protect a fall than check a doctor that deals with eplepsey. That happens alot quicker an can protect that child. If it is erbs then when the chid will find balance and it will be ok...as soon as they learn to walk.I would like a nikele for every time I fell.even down a Flight of staiars on my face.Just remember that you are doing the best that you can do and when the baby can stand the problem with craling will be over and alway remember you are doing your best and God bless..I have had ERBS from birth and Im not Perct ethier Im 52.

Tom is probably right. I think your best bet would be to talk to any doctor that deals with seizures. They probably have something or can tell you were to go to look.
