Good point, Francine.

There's something special we haven't quite announced yet, but then again, there's no time like the present!

Camp dates have changed just slightly! We've added one more day. We will be changing this on the messageboards and website.

All of this will be explained in the camp registration materials and online in the near future, but for now, if you plan to make flight arrangements into Albany, NY, please keep in mind the following:

For those who are interested in attending Clinic, you must arrive to the campsite on Thursday, August 28th, departing on Monday, September 1, no earlier than 2pm.

For those who are NOT interested in attending Clinic, you will want to check-in to the campsite on Friday, August 29, departing on Monday, September 1, no earlier than 2pm.

NOTE: The shuttle bus will depart the campsite by 9:30 am on Monday, September 1, and it will take approximately 1-1/2 hours to arrive at the Albany Airport. Not knowing what traffic, check-in/security procedures will be at the airport, we're suggesting that you consider our recommendation for departure time and act accordingly when booking your departing flight.

Cathy

Now that I've posted about departure times, I suppose it would be helpful if I post about arrival times!

So, if you're planning to attend Clinic, you'll arrive to the campsite on Thursday, August 28. Check-in is from 4:00 - 7:30 pm. Shuttle service will be available from the Albany, NY Airport. Details will be forthcoming.

If you're NOT planning to attend Clinic, you'll arrive to the campsite on Friday, August 29. Check-in is from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. Shuttle service will be available from the Albany, NY Airport. Details will be forthcoming.

Hope this helps as you make your plans.
Cathy

I'm looking into flights to the UK right now, frankly I'd rather pay more and feel safer in the air :0)

jenny - actually the security is SO tight during wartime. Lou and I went to England during the Gulf War and we felt VERY secure. I'm flying on Saturday - so maybe I'm just repeating this to myself many times so that I'll believe it?? LOL

I know you're right francine, but i also know I'll spend the WHOLE 30 hours imagining all kinds of appalling scenarios-and if anyone on the plane sniffs or sneezes I'm gonna think they have that SARS thing....(we'll be flying via Singapore) i'm seriously thinking of wearing a mask but my daughter says she won't sit with me if i do and believe me, we tbpi need someone 2 handed there to open those infernal little containers of food/drink... Last time I flew to London was just 6 weeks after 9/11 and I admit I was very reassured when I got there, the staff at Heathrow have been dealing with terrorism for the last 30 years or so and they look like they know what they are doing, but now I'm working myself into a state again over this.....i'm so looking forward to seeing my family (and Liz!)again but i won't feel at peace until I'm back in boring, quiet, SAFE New Zealand again. All good wishes to everyone who is flying ANYWHERE in these troubled times...

jenny - gee thanks for reminding me about SARS [big sigh] I'm going to bring my Emergen-C with me (1 gram of vitamin c in a fizzy) and pop them once an hour.
