For 4 months I have been in such pain with my arm and hand... yall know what I'm talking about. My neuro surgeon has only been concerned with my neck and the surgery he did to remove blood clots... He didn't know what was going on with my arm... He just said, it is not broken....Well, now that it is starting to atrophy and I've been taking pain meds like M&Ms,(that don't completely work) he has taken me seriously. When another doctor gave me this info about brachial plexus injuries, I just cried & cried... because I felt like maybe i was crazy and this wasn't a real injury.. my doctor sure made me feel that way. Well, tomorrow I am having a mylogram/ct.... This is SO WONDERFUL to know I have something real......and there are other people out there.....THANKS to whomever started this website...my emotions have been up lifted.

Welcome Cyndi! Glad you were able to find us. I hated my mylogram! Don't be discouraged if it does not show anything. Sometimes they don't. Where are you from? Good luck tomorrow let us know how things go for you.

Joy is right Cyndi, the mylegram isn't always accurate but it might help show what's wrong. I'm glad you found a doctor who at least knows what a bpi is, many people don't get a proper diagnosis for months, in some cases years. A tbpi from a road accident is a huge trauma, hope we long termers can be of some hlp and support :0)
