Hello All.
My surgery is set for Wed. 11/28 at 7am They will take out my right first rib and scar tissue and nerve work(cutting nerves to veins for pain issues). I will be under 2 or 3 hours and in the hospital 2 or 3 days and probably go home on Friday. I will be at Baylor in Dallas. Dr. Urschel is a confidant man. He literally, "wrote the book" on how to do this surgery. They showed it to me. Anyway, I will get back on when I am feeling better. Pray for me and pray that God guide's Dr. Urschel's hand and mind while he is working on me. Thanks a lot! Debra

HI Debra, good luck on you surgury, mine is set for 11/30/01 in houston. and now that i read your message, it got me to thinking, i broke my first rib in the accident, and this may be playing a big role in my injury, hope not but if it has to go then oh well.

Thoughts and prayers are with you Debra. Thanks for posting the info ! And I hope you get the well deserved pain relief you are seeking. Wish you the best in your recovery and rehab too. Hopefully it will be a short one. Seems there are a lot of surgeries coming up soon in the community. Maybe we need a calendar here somewhere to keep up with them all ) Might make that suggestion when I can get around to it. 'Rountuits' are hard to come by right now......Good luck Debra, hope to see you posting again soon.

George...there is a calendar on the site here; if you go to the home page, click on 'interactive', you'll find the events calendar. It's used mostly by the mums off the general board, but it's there for evryone.
