MD wants me to have a shoulder replacement - need help!!

I have had a right BPI since birth. I'm 40 years old. To make a loooong story short....I have had a total of 3 surgeries on my arm. The 1st surgery was not until I was in my 30's & it was a muscle transfer (mod quad), 2nd surgery was limb lengthening & rotatio, 3rd was ulnar surgery because the Ilizarov Fixator messed up the ulnar nerve. Well, I was doing GREAT...became an RN, etc. In 3/2011 I was walking in the woods & fell..grabbed a tree & pulled my neck & shoulder....had a CT & showeed a cyst on C6 -7. Got to feeling some better. On 12/2/11 I picked up a 25lb bag of cat liter with my BPI arm only & carried it a good ways in the house. Immediately I felt a pull. By the next day I was having trouble moving it. Since last Thursday I have had MRI's, EMG's, saw 3 dr's, & going for a CT tomorrow. The last dr I saw says the MRI states I have some torn muscles & I have dislocated my shoulder. I have no ROM now..in TERRIBLE pain, shoulder is completely dropped...I'm at the end of my ropes. He is wanting to do (if my deltoid can handle it) a compete shoulder replacement & reversal of the muscle transfer surgery. Any thoughts...suggestions? Anyone know of anyone have this done?? Thank u!!!
