Hi,

We purchased a TES unit years ago and haven't used it in a long, long time. Has anyone on the boards used it consistently and think that it's made a difference? Our therapist is interested in getting trained on it. Does anyone know if Dr. Pape is still holding training sessions? I tried contacting TASC a few times but never heard back. Thank you for any information you may provide.

Sema, Pia Stampe bought the patent for the TES units and is selling them and holding the trainings. Just google Pia Stampe in Rochester, NY and you should get her contact info.

Maia did TES for a long time and it was very helpful in so many ways. One of the things we noticed after 6 weeks of use was what I called fluidity of motion. For Maia that was big. But the thing that it helped her with the most was edema in her arm -- her arm and hand was pained with edema and the nights we used TES, it took care of the edema and the nights she didn't use TES, she woke up with a still swollen painful hand.

Also - each and every time she's gotten an infection in her hand/arm (from splints or from being burned, etc.) we used TES to move the infection out and got overnight results. Those were scary times. The last time we used it was when she got 2nd degree sun burn - her entire arm, top to bottom was blistered and one area became infected and I was so scared she was going to lose her arm. I had to wait for one spot clear of burn to show itself and it did, on her scapula -- so I put the electrode there and in a couple of days the infection was gone.

I always thought that anyone with a circulation issue should get a TES to keep it in their emergency medical chest.
