Hi everyone, It's been so long since I've posted or even lurked, I forgot my password. Took me several trys to get on.
Hope everyone is doing as well as can be expected these days. I guess I took a long break from all of you, even broke my wrist (on my erbs arm) in July. I really miss/missed what use I had of my hand. I got a taste of what it is like not to have any use of my left arm, including my hand.
It's still healing but will never have the same use as I did. bummer...but I guess that's life.
Guess I better read alllll the messages from way back so I can catch up.
Peace and Blessings Sharon

WOW Just got done reading the posts. Glad to see so many teenagers and youngsters. I also see you are not the oldest obpi now. That means I'm further down on the list too. LOL
I'm getting a good taste of being one handed. Can't imagine how I'll survive. Dr had to reset my wrist in the office. That hurt worse than the fracture and of course I also had to shatter some bone too. Can't do anything normal can we?? LOL With the osteo it does not want to heal and of course a bone moved just "a little" while in the cast. And on and on and on.
Sure is hard to type. I now have just a half cast. Can't go to surgury because it is not an emergency (insurance won't pay) so I guess I'll have to search around for the web site for "one handed appliances" such as can openers.
I just read about Tina's fire. I think she is attracting the lightening/ Didn't she get knocked on her fanny not to long ago with something to do with a short somewhere.
I must say I feel like a stranger to the boards now. So many new names. Guess we are not alone after all. Got to go. Can't type tto well and I hate one handed typing.

Welcome Back Sharon
I'd like to say that I've missed you..............but I've been gone almost three months myself as//////YES.........my house got struck by lightning and blew up
(and yes, it was my fanny that i got knocked onto just a few months before that). But if I would have BEEN here
I would have missed you
Sorry to hear about your arm/wrist. Hope you mend fast and well and are two-handed typing again..........real soon
Did you say you broke your erbs arm/wrist?? Are/were there any complications associated with breaking THAT one?? That has always always been my biggest fear is breaking my worse arm. I mean how do they know how to put it back together ...........if it isn't "right" to begin with????
Anyway, welcome back.
T.

Yea Tina I said my erbs arm. Had to have it set in the dr office (not an emergency so no insurance to set in hosp or) It's not like the movies where they just pull it or snap it back in place. We did it in his office. Not only a fracture but it also shattered too.
Now that you mention it being different, yea I have had goofy problems. While in the cast a "bone of some sort" slipped out of place. Dr asked if I was a bit wild with it. Hell, it hurt too much to even move the arm. Also, now that I have just a half cast and must take it off 4 or 5 times a day to flex the wrist I notice the "bone" on the "outside of the wrist is wayyyy down along the arm. Dr said seeing how the one bone slipped while in the cast I had a choice of surgury where he could put a pin in it or live with limited wrist flex motion. What was cute was my daughter was with me when he asked me (she knows there is no ins for surgury) she looks at the dr and says "oh well, that arm never has worked good anyway. Let's see what happens" A girl after my own heart.
Anyway, being the fracture involves the "long bone in my arm" It just might make sense that something would not stay in place. A question I will be sure to ask when I go back on the 30th. Being deformed is one thing but additional pain is not what I bargained for. Thanks for bringing up the question. Love Sharon
PS You had better do something about your personal body's electrical circuit before your family sticks you out in the garage to live (except when you have to clean, cook, and do all those things) LOL
