One picture is worth a thousand words. So I decided to dig up old pictures, I found of myself as a child. I have been changing my profile on Facebook and putting old bpi pictures.
I was so little but remember them teaching me to crawl up my fact to get my arm up. This was taken trying to salute the flag. They were sending it to my Dad & older brothers in the service during WWII. They were so proud that I got my hand up to my face.

Once I was old enough to see my pictures, I began to hide my arm. Now, I am so glad my Parents took pictures and did not worry about hiding my arm.

Trying to spread the word everyday this week to friends and family on FB

Regarding this topic,Last Awareness Week I did a THOROUGH search of all the pictures I havr of me IN Childhood AND adulthood of full-body shots ANDDISCOVERED ALL pictures I am HIDING my left OBPI arm & hand....I am posting this information to show the Different ways we adults were raised. I remember it WAS INSTINCTIVE to hide arm/Hand when a camera came out or people said "stand there while I take your picture" . My injuries were someting I felt ashamed of...long "BACKstory" why.
