I can't believe it. We lost our case. I am devistated.
Wanted to thank you all for the many years of support and encouragement. I feel like I am in a fog right now. Hope the next few days it will lift. I just don't see how the jury did this....
I am soo sad, but need to get past this, I have 3 kids to take care of and a job to go to...hopefully time will heal my broken heart. I wanted this soo bad for my son.

I keep thinking in my head, When one door closes another one opens.

You are the third one I heard from NY who lost their case. I just can't believe it-- how could they.

The three I know of are in Rockland County.

This stinks... I will pray that you can accept this and move forward.

I'm really sorry you lost your case. I know that anything I can say WON'T make you feel better AND you are entitled to feel as devasted as you do now but I'm going to try...

(1) if you believe in higher power -- that's where the final judgement will come for your practitioner - this court thing was only a business transaction that 12 people just didn't understand.

(2) at the end of our "thing" there wasn't ANY closure for me at all - maia's injury is permanent and will remain a struggle for her lifetime - how can there be any closure with that?

(3) the economy had a thanksgiving feast on whatever tiny piece was left after the VULTURES took (and continuously take) their fees and expenses and percentages and yeah whatever.

(4) it never stopped my practitioner from practicing and (probably) injuring more children

There was no greener grass on the other side.

Again, I'm sorry you are feeling so devastated.

This sucks. No justice served. I'm sure the BS defense fed the jury a ton lies.

May you find the strength to get past this. I know how hard you wanted this for your son.

I'm so sorry about your case.
I can honestly say I know how you feel.
I'm 13 and have ROBPI.
I'll make a long story short.
My mom told the doctor for months that she needed to have a c-section.
Doctor didn't listen, ripped me out by my head.
Went to court 3 years later, had a terrible jury.
Ended up losing our case because they made the doctor seem like a hero. Saying that I didn't die at birth.
My mom still gets upset from it, and that was 10 years ago. You can email her if you want, she'd be more than happy to talk to somebody that had a similar case. (kimberdawg@gmail.com)
