We are adding to the FAQ's for TBPI on the website and we need your input! If you can help us, please email me directly with your responses to the following:

•How come my doctor didn’t seem to know much about this injury?

•How common is this injury?

•Is this injury permanent, and if so, am I covered under the American with Disabilities Act (ADA)?

•Is nerve transfer surgery an option for me and if so, how soon after the injury should I have it?

•What is the success rate of the surgery?

•How soon after surgery can I expect to see signs of recovery?

•Are there special exercises I should do?

•Is there a special diet I should follow to help with my recovery?

•When can I return to work?

•How will this impact my family/social life? Do you think I’ll ever date again?

Thanks in advance!! Also, if you have any other questions that you feel could/should be added please feel free to add those as well!

Looks like a great list to me. This is a little bit different, but I think a "definitions" type page would be great. Something that includes the names of the different surgeries and what they involve, the names of the different nerve branches and what muscles they fire and other "lingo" people who are new to the injury might not know about ie. subplexing etc. I know especially at the beginning, and sometimes still, I need to google terms to totally get what a poster means and it definitely would have made it easier at the beginning.

Thank you for the suggestions! We do have some of this however, it will be more defined and certainly in a spot that is readily accessible.

Thanks again!

Anyone else with suggestions or ideas?
