Arm bone not healing

Well, this has been a frustrating week at Mayo. Tuesday I had a CT scan with iodine through IV. I took them 8 tries to get the IV in and then I think I had an allergic reaction to the dye so I've been swollen and intensely itchy for the week. Plus one of the scanners was down so it took over 3 hours just to get that test done with.
Then on Thursday I met with my Orthopedic surgeon, Dr.Cass, and he broke the bad news that instead of fixing my knee in early April like we thought, the knee surgeon decided my leg isn't healed enough so I have to wait another 3-5 months! Currently if I walk I have to use a forearm crutch which occupies my working arm so I can't carry anything and when I'm in a wheelchair I have to be pushed because I can't work it with one arm. This is just so frustrating. Because of the BP injury, I need to have my knee working before I can move out of my parents house and live independently again.
Dr.Cass also looked at my arm (the BP one) and despite a bone graft to replace the dead bone, it's still not healing very well. Has anyone else had this problem? If this bone also dies what do they do?
