I am sorry if anyone felt imtimadted by my post. You did not have to post if you did not want to. Not trying to be mean or anything but like I said you did not have to post because I was not forcing you to. For everyone who had good things to say thank you, so far in my research I'm finding out that the average weight for females is between 8-9lbs. and males is between 9-10lbs. and that Erb's Palsy occurs more frequently in the right arm(dominate arm). Also for the record I received an email from Mary Wagner about 2 Months ago she is some kind of secretary for a lawyer. Again thank you to everyone who had good things to say and don't post if you don't want to.

No attorney who is a good attorney needs to ambulance chase. They get their work from personal referrals from doing good work, working ethically and having fair outcomes.

Please don't take offence to what I wrote. I think it is an important part of this board to write what we feel and how this injury(all phases of it) effects us...I may be feeling something that someone else feels too but are afraid to say. I guess I should have worded it better....I don't feel threatened by you asking I feel threatened that there are evil people in this world who would use the information in a bad way. It's just too bad we don't live in a honest society where everyone loves each other...wouldn't that be bliss!! I guess there would still be misunderstandings though...that's part of being human.
Love to you,
T.

There had to be something fishy in your research when you asked for names/state. But here you have only stated gender and which arm tends to be injured. I don't see why you needed so much more information. I have chosen to stop posting since I have found that the message board is being used to gather too much personal information whether its the defense side or ambulance chasers. Also, too much time is used to defend surgery/non-surgery and why this doctor is better than so and so. Or why only certain doctors attend picnics. I'd rather spend my energy in exchanging positive support/information/experiences. The only doctor I have serious doubts about is the one that caused the injury. No wonder some have chosen to start another message board. I hope and pray that we can all rise above this pettiness.

Just a note, I'm injured in my right arm, but it's NOT my dominant hand. I'm also not the only one, so that conclusion really isn't accurate. Just to be on the safe side you should watch out for those.

I think that your statistics might be off a bit. I was right around 7 lbs. at birth, was always right-handed and my tbpi affected my left arm and leg.

I am also right obpi... and not sure if I was left or right handed that changes with bpi birth injury...

I have small motor cordination in both hands.
One eye doctor said I was really always a lefty because of my eyes... He failed to notice that I had Horner's... so how can they check.

When I do jenny nz eye test... I am a lefty....
I write right handed because I was forced to in school.. ouch that hurt the bpi hand.. but I do ...

I think it is hard to tell if an obpi baby lost their dominate hand since you do not know what they were suppose to be... Often times children do not choose their dominate hand until almost 5... the obpi children have very little choice in the matter...

I thought the post was interesting and informative so don't be sorry... But did my 11 lb. 14 oz. birth weight change some of the stats??? LOL..

I just wonder how we can crunch numbers for dominate hand?? If Horner's is involved I am sure it makes it harder.
