Methadone

Hi all, my Dr at the pain clinic has recommended I try methadone to help with the severe outbursts of pain. Just wondering how many people here have tried it and if there are any major side effects?

I have been on Methadone for 1 1/2+ years. I take 10 MG 3x's daily. I don't have any side effects. I was on higher doses and have reduced down to this for well over a year. I woud not be concerned.

Thanks for replying Janelle. Started on 5mg tablet form yesterday gradually increasing dosage, will see how it goes...

Sorry it took so long for me to find this, and you.
For the record I am prescribed 50mgs twice a day.
I've recently been weening(and trying not to whine)myself off all of my meds but I get so screwed up. I don't know which one to stop first so I've been selecting the wrong one and paying for it.
Hopefully I'll get it right...soon.
