Hi. Many of you don't know us, but many do. I haven't been on the boards in a long time. I am Zoe's mother. She is 6 and many of you would know her from the camp in New York several years ago. Well, she is 6 now in 1st grade and doing wonderfully. The only "limitation" she has is her median sensory nerve being so damaged that she bites her thumb to the point that she has no nail left and it's just mostly scar tissue. Recently we found Dr. Borschel in St. Louis that recommended a nerve transfer in her hand. We are grateful because it has become a serious issue especially since she has been biting it for nearly her whole 6 years. She is having to surgery on Oct. 1 at Barnes Children's Hospital in St. Louis, MO so if you all would just keep her in your thoughts on that day I would appreciate it. Thank you so much.

I am gald taht she is doing well and I am glad that you have found away to help her with this issue! We will be praying for you!
Blessings,

Zoe's surgery went well. Dr. Borschel was pleased. The only problem we encountered was her reaction to the anesthesia. About an hour after waking up she started vommiting every 15 min until 1 am Thursday morn. Then she was back to her self again. We got to come home yesterday and she is back at school today by her request. Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers.
