my sons pain dr. wants to try this and I was wondering if it will eliminate the pain

Hi...all I can tell you is one person in our UK TBPI Group had what sounds like the same thing implanted..he had it taken out a very short time after. It did nothing for his pain, and actually made him worse in many ways.

I think it all depends on the level of injury whether this will work or not. The person I know has a very bad injury and completely flail arm after several surgeries. It could work for someone else, no-one really knows as each injury is very different, and age and fitness will also have an influence on outcome. Perhaps the surgeon to put you in touch with people who have had thiS?

Hi, Carrie had a spinal cord stimulator(scs) installed a few years back and it has not worked at relieving pain. She has the classic avulsions C5-T1. Maybe the scs can or may possibly work on bpi nerves that have been stretched or damaged, but not disconnected.
