Masen is having some great results from his surgery in January of 2007 at the Mayo, they are truly miracle workers. Masen is four yrs. old and he has alot of tension in is right arm and now there is movement at the elbow, we go back for another EMG in december and we had one this past july and there was something going on in the shoulder area but now I am sure something is happening in the elbow area as it is moving, although Masen isn't voluntarily moving it yet. I have been thinking about pool therapy again for him we will see, he takes lots of baths as he loves the bath water just not the big pool so much. TK

Congratulations! Working in water is so helpful since gravity isn't a factor. Even the bathtub is a good place to see movement. Glad things are progressing so well!

Tammy I have found you finally this is me we Judy we have met at Mayo when you had Masen there to see Dr. Shin when I had David there for his check up I am so happy to read he is doing swell David will be glad to hear about him he is always asking what ever happened to that little boy we met his name Masen and now he will be happy to know you are on here too I don't get on much but I have seen and read and all is wonderfull for Masen and I am happy to of found you... David goes back in February for another check up and I am just not sure what were gonna find out his shoulder bone dislocates in and out we can hear the popping all the time and Dr. Shin told me that the reason its doing that is because his muscles and nerves arent growing enough around that bone to hold it into place so they are gonna keep an eye on it but boy when it pops you can hear it but he can't feel it his feeling isn't comming back the way I had hoped it would and his movement is the same as when we met you and he doesn't wanna work with it at all he is supposed to be doing self therapy here at home and he would rather be in the water therapy so when we go back I am gonna request Dr. Shin to change his mind on that one and have him order it up for him. Give that cute little Masen a hug and a kiss from us he is a go getter and more power to him. Hope to hear from you... Judy

Judy, it is great to hear from you, I am sorry that David is having trouble doing his therapy stuff. Masen is not all that concerned about doing stuff that I want him to do, but I exercise the arm when he is sleeping. He may have to have antoher surgery in a couple of years to do a tendon transfer that will help his arm hold at a more natural angle when he is holding his arm at his side. We go back to the mayo for a check up in june. Tell David we said hi and keep faith. Tammy

Tammy hey thats an idea exercise his arm while he is sleeping I will have to try that and see where I get... I am so glad Masen is doing good. See David had his nerve and muscle transplant his first surgery and his second surgery they went in to loosen it up cause they had pulled it together to tight so he couldn't bend it so now he can bend it a bit if he works with it and we go back in February for a check up so I will let all know what we find out. And yes it is good to be able to know about Masen 2 so please stay in touch... Take Care and give that cutie a hug from us.. Judy
