Help with changing a diaper

Probably seems like a strange subject line...Anyway, DH is doing really well coming up with alternatives ways of getting things done for himself using his good arm. The one thing we haven't figured out is how he can change our wiggle 15 month old son's diaper. This is really starting to upset him, as he is used to being able to take Ben out for the day and have fun and he really can't be alone with him for that long now unless we can figure out this diaper thing. Any parents out there figure out a technique for getting the job done with one arm??

I suppose duct taping him to the changing table would be out of the question?! :-)

I am sure some of the parents with little ones can answer this for you. Try posting it on the other two boards as well.

I bumped a post back from April that I started to get tips on changing diapers. I will also bump a post on the OBPI board for you on the same topic. My method was combination of every ones tips.
Good luck!

I had better luck changing my daughter's diapers when she was 15 months with one hand than my son's. Boys are different, a lot more wiggly. As soon as you put them down, they are rolling, twisting, stretching, squirming...

With my daughter, I would lay her on a towel on the ground and pin her down with my feet and take off the old diaper and clean her up. Once cleaned, I would let her crawl around until i had the clean diaper ready and then i would pick her up and lay her on the clean diaper, again pinning her to the ground with my feet...

As I write this, I realize that this probably would not work too well in public... In fact, I have had zero success doing it in the house with my son. Boys are very tough ! I got nothing for you, sorry. I have had very little desire to master the one arm diaper change. It is the one and only perk to TBPI.
