power boat modification

Hi

I'm looking at a nice 19ft boat, and need to know if anyone here has ever modified a power boat for one-handed ops. I did it years ago by mounting the throttle on the dash, but I still had to let go to throttle. I'd like to do something different.

Any ideas or places to go?

Thanks,

Henry

I have been working on race cars for a long time and still do little harder now with one hand and I caint get the trck officials to let me race even though i hall the car and a 36 ft trailer ther lol , but the thottle pedal on race cars are set up on a double sided bracet that just mounts to the floor. they have bearings in them so they are real smooth. you can push the pedal down or lift up if throttle ever sticks thatssucks, lolbut you could make it work both ways good luck and God bless denny
