Pelvic instability in mom following shoulder dystocia?

I just went for a PT eval for my neck and back, and they found that one side of my pubic bone is higher than the other with pain around that area. I didn't think to ask then, but I thought later, I wonder if it could have been caused by shoulder dystocia during labor/delivery. Has anyone had experience with this?

Anna - your login email is bouncing. Can you post your current email address?

There is a type of bodywork called SO TAI that can help return your pelvis - permanently. It is something that advanced shiatsu therapists may have been trained in. Also, an acupuncturist may also have the ability to shift this. It's a technique I learned about 9 years ago and have ben using it at a high rate since. It takes 3-6 treatments to make a permanent shift in your pelvis. It's painfree, and takes about 30 minutes. It's a series of very specific isometric exercises done with your leg in very specific positions and measured angles. It's excellent work. If you post where you live, I might be able to find a therapist for you in your area.

Yes, I fixed my email address. I live in Florida - the Melbourne area. I will probably go the PT route at this point; I feel pretty confident in this therapist - I saw him before for my neck, and he has a lot of knowledge in the area of necks/backs. He said that the pelvic issue is usually taken care of w/ treatment and doesn't recur. But if he isn't successful, he often sends people to a female PT in Vero Beach who goes more in-depth and has more expertise in this area. But I will keep what you said in mind if PT doesn't seem to help. Thank you.
