Well they said they hoped I would get abduction from it and be able to move my arm away from my body, also they are going to do a procedure called shindlers, I have spelt that wrong but it sounds like shindlers and this is where the flexor is stretched to where the biceps should be to give better bend the elbow motion. Basically my C5 is gone, he said the Lats transfer should give me more shoulder stability and the brain has to be relearn to move it in the new manner. I just hope I don't miss my lats as am sure I am doing trick movements with it right now to move the arm.

Is it a procedure that can be done years after the injury or does it need to be within the first year or so after the injury? Just curious if there was a way to keep my arm away from my body even slightly. Might help the sweaty pit issue, huh?

it can be done years after, I am 3 years after. I found some old posts on lats transfers and it seems most people are using them for biceps, mind is going in my shoulder.
