I will pray for her, I'm sure along with many others. I was in the waiting roo, just 2 months ago for my son's primary. I know what you are feeling. In your heart you have to believe that all will be fine. What helped me was lots of praying. for the baby, not the arm.lots of luck.

I know that fear and I completely understand. I think that going for primary was the scariest thing we ever did. I asked everybody I knew in the world to pray for my daughter and asked them to tell everyone they know to pray also. It's the only think that got us through it.

We will pray for your baby. Please update us when you can. God bless your little baby.

Steve & Family -
You most certainly have my prayers. I'm an older ROBPI (50). Since I'm the one who went through the surgeries when I was younger (tendon transfers), I guess I didn't realize what my parents must have been going through. You will definitely be in my thoughts & prayers on Tuesday. God Bless
Cyndi
P.S. Louise - your prayer is beautiful! We should get it printed out on cards for other parents who are experiencing the same feelings. Your letter idea is wonderful!

It has been a long time since my son had primary but boy those memories are so clear to me. My thought and prayers with be with you and your family....a little encouragement though, My son was 7 months old and recovered way better than mom and dad. By them the Dr. got up to see him that evening he was sitting on my lap eating french fries....kids are very resilient(SPELLING?) It is much harder on us than the children(IN my opinion) Some childrens hospitals do have people that you can talk to. I think it makes it easier once you get there....there are so many children with so many different surgeries it makes you know that they are in good hands.

I remember those feelings like they were just happening... Juliana was only 4 1/2 months old...we were so frightened. We were frightened to do nothing and frightened to do the surgery. We are so glad we chose to do the surgery. It was the longest day of our lives. I read an entire novel in the waiting room--I still can't tell you what book it was, nor what it was about!

What I can tell you is that you will be okay. You need to breathe a lot. You need to make sure that you eat. You need to tell yourself that you are making the right decision. And if you are of the faithful (what ever faith is yours) then pray.

Good luck and know that you have an incredible community here praying for you.
