Het Kath, and everyone else!
Thought I would drop by after picking some pictures off the web for a paper that's due on monday.
I am still in school. I switched back into general studies. Things are going really well. Theres this girl at school. I can tell that her left arm is paralized. I tried talking to her one day, just to let her know she wasn't alone. She basically blew me off. I really don't think my arm is noticeably paralized like hers. Anyways I see her all the time in the hallways. At least I know I'm not alone. She's not even interested in this message board. Oh well. Maybe I'll get the courage to talk to her again.

Erica,
You know what I think?
Even though that girl that with the paralized arm didn't talk to you about it...she was probably just re-acting to discussing a sensitive issue with someone she didn't know. I myself once tried to approach a woman I saw with an arm like mine...but I decided against it for fear of what her re-action might be.
I kept thinking that she may have gotten her bpi in an accident or something that she didn't care to talk about. At least here, on the message boards, you know that everyone is willing to talk about it.
Still, it was very kind and brave of you to approach her...maybe if she gets to know you a little better she will open up.

Take Care,
-Stephanie

Hi Erica
Glad to see your in school and enjoying it.
As far as the girl goes perhaps she is at that stage where she just wants to pretend its OK... It would be nice for both of you to get aquainted. But give her time.

My doctor has another woman in her 50's with obpi and mentioned me but she does not want to even talk to the doctor about her arm... She was shocked when the doctor noticed it... She was amazed that my doctor knew what it was.

Keep us posted. Hope you dr. visit goes well
