A producer at 20/20 called me today to let me know that they will be airing the bpi/birth video show sometime in the next 3 weeks. She could not give me an exact date since they are always doing last minute news updates. If there is a change she will call me back with the new air date. 20/20 is on ABC and I believe it is on Wednesday and Friday. If anyone catches a promo for this story please post it here. She also mentioned that they may have a live chat on this topic following the show and that we should watch for that too.

20/20 called me today, too, and gave me the same information. I think they are planning on using our birth video in the show....with PLENTY of "grey" areas!! I will post when they call me back with details.

~Wow~ I am surprised that you got to bring a video camera into the birthing room!! I didn't know anyone could do this.. It is not allowed here where I had my children and I dont know of any of my family members that could.. So hey that is great that you have that!!

Does anyone know what the topic will be called on this show? and is it all dedicated to the children for awareness?

This is great and I can not wait to see this.. I feel that it will reach so many families that have this injury with a child that had no idea of any help for them and with all the families that are planning on having a baby in the future, to know the warning signs!!

and shed some light on my family and friends on the birth injury of my Kelsey..so maybe I wont feel so alone with dealing with this by myself the only one that knows anything about it! (sorry had to vent!)

I'm not sure what will be included in the story but bpi's will definately be a part of it. I believe the focus is video cameras in the delivery rooms. I don't think it will be featured on the premie show. I will keep watching and post if I find anything out.

They don't want cameras in the delivery in case of another bpi. WE ALL KNOW THAT !!!

my local abc station sometimes uses topics off of the 20/20 shows and puts a more local aspect on it...I would like to be sure that this show will be about BPI before I would contact them to make them aware. So, are we positive for a fact that it will include BPIs? I just wanted to be double sure so I don't look stupid telling them it is and it is not. Hope you understand.

I was told it would be about bpi's as well as the birth videos. Your local station has the ability to check this out. I'm sure 20/20 would not have called to let us know about the show if bpi's weren't on it. A lot of work was spent giving them information about the injuries. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
